Overhead Console Pocket Repro

I notice the ThirdGenRanch is offering a new reproduction of the black vinyl console pouch and for only $30 (link below). Mine has the strap all stretched out and hanging down and I would like a nice new replacement but in the photo the stitching looks pretty sloppy, has anyone bought one of these and if so how did it look?

That is kind of what I thought, the stitching looks sloppy but it is up and out of the way and probably less annoying than the elastic strap hanging down. And it's the first time I have seen these available anywhere

He gets them from somewhere for sure. I'd keep looking. Rather not give that quack any more of my hard-earned money

Re: Overhead Console Pocket Repro

Was the elastic on the originals tight enough to keep it closed or just snug to the bottom material and the back left open?

Going out on a bit of a limb, but has anyone just taken theirs to a seamstress? If the rest of the pocket is in good shape, it really shouldn't be much to have a new piece of elastic put in to fix it.

If I actually had one I'd absolutely do this, but mine is missing altogether

That's my plan.

I ended up doing that, more or less. I found an elastic strap in stock at Hobby Lobby that was almost exact. I removed the pouch and it's base from the console, then carefully removed the old strap without cutting the stitching. Then I sewed the new one in place fairly easily; I have a sewing machine but actually it could probably be done by hand if necessary. A small thing but that strap hanging down looked bad and this makes me feel much better, Todd C

And we have Hobby Lobby stores in my area. Thanks for the tip.
