rear window/hatch pull shade

rear window/hatch pull shade

Does anyone make a replacement for this? i've seen some used ones, but haven't had any luck finding a new replacement.

The cargo shade? I believe if you want new, finding an NOS shade is the only option. I think?

you'd think as sun faded as they get, someone would remake them. i may try to dye it, it still works fine, it's just really faded.

The earlier ones were vinyl and didn't fade, but they do produce a bit of a reflection on the rear glass when driving in sunny conditions. I'm assuming that's why they went to the woven material later on. I'm unsure of the changeover year, it must of been around '89 or '90.

In your case, yeah I'd just dye the one you have.

That’s funny, I had one at my booth in Dayton for 2-3 years, , no one wanted it. I ended up tossing it.

The original in my '88 is still vinyl. So cloth must have come in later, as you said.
