on a heads and cam ls1, depending on how big of a cam you have you will prolly want to upgrade sometime soon. You'll be able to run the stock ones but they will defintaly be maxed out and you might be running a little lean up high in the rpm's.

Also depends on which injectors you have...On the 98, 01 and 02 they have slightly bigger injectors(28.8) than the 99 and 00(26 i believe). I had an 01z with huge cam with heads and 11.5 to 1 compression running pump gas and used the stock 01 injectors and never had a problem leaning out. It ran 10.90's all day long and never had any problems.

Heck i have the 02 injectors in my conversion and am spraying a huge dry shot and am having no issues so far with leaning out. Time will tell.

You will want to keep an eye on your fuel pump and make sure that the fuel pressure is not dropping off any that could also cause lean conditions. make sure it is not getting old and slowly dropping pressure.

i have the stock injectors that came out of the 04 z06....i think im going to leave them for now i guess. i have a wet nitrous system so im not worried about going lean on nitrous.

are the z06 injetors the 28 lbs then?

yes they should be the 28.8's. Like i said as long as the fuel pressure stays put you should be fine. I have mine setup to 60psi when i am spraying the bigger shot. When on motor it seems to run quite rich per the tech 2 always showing the pcm pulling fuel, but havnt had issues on nitrous yet either. I need to find a scanner so that i can scan it on the track with the nitrous.

mines set to 58 psi, is that about right for no boost and no nitrous? im using a new ac delco pump, it seems to be able to keep up on the pressure, but are they able to provide enough volume? i have a seperate booster pump for the nitrous, so thats a totally seperate setup.

i just dont want to go lean under wot....way to much money in this setup to pop a piston

What kind of car is this in??? IF it is a stock delco third gen pump i would not use it, i would go with the walbro 255lph pump, direct swap and you never have to worry about the third gen pump since it was not designed to stay at 58psi.

450whp for the 28.8lbs in jectors is generally considered the maximum.
