95 Lt1 Pcm

need to swap my 86 LG4 with 95 LT1. Keeping the 700R4.

1) what is the best pcm reprogrammer to get? Ive looked into LT1 edit and Tigercat. Really for now, all i'll want one for is to disable vats and tell it i dont have a 4l60e. LT1edit is about $200 and tigercat is $80.

2)would it be better to just buy a vats disable wiring kit?

3) any other advice on the PCM?

Buy a cable for $40 (forgot the site) and get tunercat. Much better to get a program and use your laptop because it lets you program more and save money on tunes if you decide to upgrade. You can also run datamaster to monitor the engine when trouble shooting.
