LTX and LSX Putting LT1s, LS1s, and their variants into Third Gens is becoming more popular. This board is for those who are doing and have done the swaps so they can discuss all of their technical aspects including repairs, swap info, and performance upgrades.

Any of you more ambitious swappers find a stock manifold solution (truck,vette,f-body) that would allow you to keep ac, and what did you do to make em work (flip em,switch em,beat em with a hammer, sold your soul) also is an incon type low mount feasible? I know the fourth gen guys don't have any luck but I was wondering with the increased room under our bays If we would have any luck?
Thanks Freddy

Hey Kandied, could you please e-mail some pics and specs of your engine bay to PCM_Jr@yahoo.com - What I'm thinking about doing is an 82-92 Firebird/TA/GTA/Formy/whatever, put LS1 in it, then when I have money, twin turbo I'm just trying to get info together so I know what parts (part #'s even) I need, approx cost, etc. Thanks BTW I'd get rid of A/C in favor of T-Tops or Convertible + more 'free' HP

if ur a DIY'er then the cost will be a bit less. but i would say 20k for a serious build with all the lil odds and ends... if u do it yourself.
