grounds

those of you that are now done with your swap, approximately how many grounds would you say you used and do you remember where all of them are? i'm trying to track down an electrical problem that is leading me towards a ground issue.

read about your problem over at motown muscle, my first ideal was a ground also....

i have two on the engine block, one on the left and right side underneath the dash, one under the console. then in the back, the stock tail lights ground is still there. i added the main chasis ground for the battery, and then one for the amps.

another though i had was your igntion switch went bad, but that rarely happens rolling up a window

I have 3 in the back of the driver side head. One ground strap, and Im not really sure of the other chassis grounds other than the one under the dash. There is also a small ground by the drivers side strut tower, but that was there before the swap, and I couldnt tell ya what it was for. But then again I also have a grounding issue, so I could be missing something.

how do you know you have an issue. my car was working great for 4 weeks and now it's dead, the only logical thing so far is a missing or loose ground but i'm trying to find out if i missed one or if that could even be a solution.

Are you asking about engine grounds? I had 3 off the engine,
one from the engine(drivers side head) to the body, one from the engine block to the frame(drivers side) and one from the engine block(passenger side) to the battery, and of course the battery ground is connected to the body as well.

Well A few off my guages done work and Im thinking it is a gounding issue. Its not big enough to not let the car run, just enough to mess up a couple guages.
