LS1 conversion Exhaust
ok, i already know hawks has the lt setup for the ls1 conversion, but i really don't want to spend 1400 bux for pipes. anyone know of anyother company that has lt headers for the ls1 setup that will fit a tubular k member using the stock spring setup>??

Also if you support the existing thirdgen suppliers they can afford more R&D to make us yet more products.
I went with teh stainless works through hawks and I'm impressed with the build. I'm not completely finished yet, but the driver's side header looks pretty close so I might make a heat sheild.
Hawks has been great for my swap, dont think I could have done it without their help.

custom, thats it if you dont want to spend a grand for headers and y-pipe. but in the end you will spend about a grand anyways if you build a high quality system

My only concern is how close they are on the driver's side. As of right now, car still in the air, the header is touching the rear break line, and like 1/8 inch from my fuel lines.....
I'm probably going to pull them all down and reroute.

That's weird... mine were fine on the driver's side... but the passenger side was about 1/8" away and now its hitting the car sometimes. Sounds like ****... really isn't hurting anything though. I'll probably pull it off this winter and take a BFH to the "framerail" of the car. Other than that they are awesome headers!

Well thats interesting, yours is closer on the pass side....I wonder if the headers are slightly different or if my K-member is off.....
Are you using a tubular K-member, I cant remember

i just noticed something, the rear drivers side o2 sensor is really close to the transmission range switch, i'm not sure if an o2 will actually fit there, anyone else see this as a problem?

Hehe, welcome to the fitment issues fun.
I've found plenty......
Thats the thing with this game, this stuff is made to work, but nothing actually fits perfectly. Modification is part of speed.
