Help! LT1 in and wired, but no worky...
Ok, it's 5 am, I've been in the (unheated) shop all day and night so bare with me. I got the LT1 in and wired and whatnot. I put the battery in and as soon as I connected it, the starter started cranking...eek... So i disconnected the power feed to the starter so the solinoid clicks but it doesnt crank. It still clicks as soon as i connect the battery. If I disconnect the purple wire from the starter it doesn't click, but obviously it wont start with no signal to the solinoid. So, that purple wire is shorted or crossed somewhere and is getting a constant always hot(even with key off)12V instead of only in the "start" position. Any ideas where that might be?
Second, my fuel pump doesnt prime or pump. I hooked fuel pump relay control(pin J,Dk GRN/WHT, of C220(white plug)) to the GRN/WHY wire in the fuel pump relay. The relay does not click in any key position. I've got a VATS bypass module installed so that shouldnt be the cause of the trouble.
I need to have the car running by monday so I can get to work. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I'm going to bed for a few hours....

The large purple wire in the black connector goes to the little post on the starter, I ran a wire straight from this connector to the little post and it works like a charm.

Ok, so, my purple wire was spliced into a key on hot(oops). Now, my large purple wire comes out of my firebird's C100 bulkhead connector into the purple wire of the C210 plug then down to the starter. I got nuthin when i move the key to start. I checked the voltage on that purple wire, key on I have 0V, key start i have .5V. That should be a full 12V to the solinoid right? How come I'm only getting .5V? Any thoughts on the fuel pump yet? Thanks.

Do you still have the original purple solenoid trigger wiring from the old setup? If it worked before the swap, you should be able to just hook the old wiring to the new starter and make it work. I just used the old wiring for the purple wire and it works.
