lt1 fuel pump question

Anyone every hear of this pump

eBay Motors: 255 LPH FUEL PUMP Chevy Camaro Corvette TransAm 255lph (item 8057634998 end time Apr-27-06 11:40:36 PDT)

Its pretty good price but not sure if its going to be ok.
What pump are you guys running on your lt1 swaps? Mine is still stock 3.1 v6 and while I have my rear out for rebuild im going to replace the fuel pump and paint the underside of the car to get it all done at once.

Thanks

I think $100 shipped or $100 plus shipping. Can't remember. Bought it from the link I posted above but bought it off of them through ebay.

You can use your v6 pump as it's the same pump that's used on TPI v8 cars. I am using mine and have no problems, they say that the pumps is good up to 400 hp.

yea ive been using it but i think its starvig for fuel at upper rpms. seems like it leans out and i figure theres no better time since the tanks coming out for undercoating anyway.

Acutally the TPI pump and the 2.8 MPFI pump are different.

That would explain why my car seems like it isn't getting fuel or voltage at high rpms. I personally thought it was voltage, but now I know. Crap! Now I have to drop the tank eventually to replace it.

Is it possible to install an external pump so that I don't have to take the tank out, or is that not an option?

i would say thats not an option because then your unused stock pump will just get in the way of the flow. plus external pumps for high pressure are more expensive and dont last as long. ill post some pics of my tank removal today to help you when you do your. Im pulling it hopefully today but not installing the pump for a while.

ok i got it out pretty much the hardest part was fighting with it because it was hitting the shocks. my advice is to raise the car high as hell unbolt the shocks and let the rear fall as far as possible. unhook the usual stuff like brake line and fuel lines. To drain mine i just un hooked the return and rigged the relay to run constant that way i just filled a jug with the old gas with no mess. theres a pic of the old pump sock its really brittle and just fell apart.

A few pics. first is the bolt that i took out its really easy just 2 bolts. second is somthing that looks like a leak.

third?? What is that thing that hooks to the top of the pump?? Is it needed?
