drivers exhaust manifold clearence

Did anyone else have a problem with the O2 senor hitting the k-member preventing the install of thier driver side exhaust manifold? if so how did they get it to work? Does anyone know of an 02 senor that is smaller(shorter).

Thanks,
Brandon

I had a similar problem with the 4th gen headers I used on my LT1 swap. What we did was plug the O2 fitting, and weld a new one into the pipe after the collector where it was convenient.

Exactly what I did. A half inch more room, and everything would be good, but no. Also, I asked the same question about a shorter sensor, but got nothing and I havent seen anything since so...

Even the folks at Fbodymotorsports had this issue- they relocated the 02 sensor. They show pics on their website about this.

I'll be doing that, too. I will have to have them add a bung nearby as I'm trying to make my car california emmisions legal. I hope the ref will pass it...

The dont know every car exhaust setup you know what i mean. Just as long as you have the smog crap them you will be cool. I have to go pretty soon

Keep me posted on your results atthe referee station, as I'll be interested to hear. Possibly learn/ adjust my car accordingly.
