Knock Sensor Hook up

If the knock sensor is not hooked up will that cause the computer to mess up. just curious because the sensor wire is very close to my headers?

I dont know if it matters on which engine. On an LT1 it will cause the computer to pull max retard all the time and your engine will run ever so crappy.

On my TPI it took forever to start and didn't have a lot of power.

yes it will cause poor performance. you can program it out though by zeroing all of the spark retard tables. but I wouldn't recommend this.

Sounds like I'll hook it up. just half to clear the headers. I'm having Ion Reprogram the computer. Hope to hear it run soon. It Ran for just three or four seconds and Died probably Vats.
