My LS1/T56 swap (with dyno sheet)
OK so its been about 2 months in the works but its finally done enough to drive around and have fun with. I started with a 305/5 speed car that wasnt fast enough so I decided to go with this swap and Im glad I did. I wont waste too much time so here is my list of stuff I put in it. I might be forgetting some stuff.
LS1/T56 with 22k miles from a 2002 super sport (I got lucky and got one with an LS6 block
)
comp cams XR265HR cam, cant find card or I would put specs..
spec stage 3 clutch with aluminum flywheel
hawks long tube headers
random tech 3" cat back
moser 12 bolt w/ 3.73 gears/eaton posi
top gun driveshaft from spohn
trans x-member/torque arm from spohn
motor mounts from spohn
4th gen rear disc brakes
springs are about a year and a half old hotchkis
Theres more but its just odds and ends type stuff. I apologize for not having finished pictures yet, but Ill try to get some posted tomorrow. Heres the dyno sheet and a few pics I took along the way. I think I could do much better if I got a 160 thermostat, BBK 80mm throttle body and an slp MAF sensor with maybe some exhaust cutouts... debating if I want a bottle in my car or not..
forgot to mention, I got it tuned at ST performance in savannah, cool group of guys up there.

Nice, what did you pay for the LS1/T56?
I was considering a big block Fuely, but evrybody has been telling me it would probably throw off the dynamics of the car. So an LS1 seems like a logical choice.
Quick questions.
Did you get the computer and harness with the engine?
Is evrything else matching up ok? Heat / Air controlls etc?

Yes I will have fun with it, hopefully i wont get in too much trouble lol.
Yes I got the computer/harness/accessories with the engine, got a good deal on it from millers auto recycling in canada, 4900 shipped.
My heater box is somewhat destryed right now, but i know my heater will work and adjust fine. as for the AC, its not in right now, one of the things that needs to be "finished" Everything other than that works fine
89rs, wow thats a pretty big difference. what are you using for your intake? I have a tube going through where the evap canister thing was so im getting cooler air, not much cooler, but cooler than engine bay air.
My buddy who helped me out a lot building this and I will have to play with some things and see if we can get some improvement

I am currently using a TPI set up. I know it's costing me HP. I will be converting it soon to a AEM brute force system I bought one for a 2004 GTO it looked like it will fit with the least amount of fab work.
