Code 42 (EST grounded) but engine starts and runs fine...?

Just decided to check the trouble codes on my '94 LT1 before driving cross-country. I found a bad mass air sensor (engine data view says it's reading the same flowrate no matter what the engine's doing), which is simple enough, but the really weird thing is that it's throwing a code 42, which FreeScan translates as "EST grounded". In other words, the computer thinks my ignition module is grounded out in some way, but the car has been starting and running with no problems for several months now. Any idea what could cause this?
