I thought I would post pics of my A/C since I finally got to use a digital camera. I don't know how to resize pics, so I can only post 1. Sorry. I have two more. One with the airbox and one from the other side.

How did you make the lines? Cost?

My setup worked fine for about a day and now its leaking. Are you using seal washers or o-rings on the two lines that plug into the compressor. My leak is at the compressor and it will not leak until about 15 seconds after i start to run the a/c. I know I have the f-body compressor and not the vette one but should be similar.

I ordered the parts from Wayne at hotrodair.com. I crimped them myself at the NAPA I used to work at. You would need a hose block with the inline sealing surface. I had to use the offset one. Hot Rod Air - Quality Air Conditioning Systems and Component Parts is the site. Wayne was great to deal with and very knowlegeable. When crimping the lines do not use one for hydraulic lines, you will crush the fittings. I am using the factory type sealing washers for a 94 vette.

Yep, this is the problem: my 89 V6 lines are not for offset ports, which the LT1 compressor has. Notice the difference in the pics: Hot Rod Air - Quality Air Conditioning Systems and Component Parts

A/C lines use a hand crimper. It looks like a bottle jack with a crimping attachment. The phone book should list something along the lines of A/C repair. Wayne could precrimp the lines if you measure them. By the way, my car is red not orange. More pics!

Thanks man. A/C was the biggest hurdle. I originally used F body accessories, but I was unhappy with the results. I converted to vette accessories($$$) and now everything fits like it should.

I have a huge catalog from Doc's Blocks coming that is all a/c parts. I was able to get the 4th gen lines in the car, but the way that they came around the a/c compressor wouldn't let them sit exactly right, so I'm going to go ahead and make a set, I have access to someone who can tig weld a/c piping so this should be interesting.

However, I have actually started looking into the vette accessories.

I ordered a blank block from doc's blocks on friday or saturday. Going to make an adapter out of it for my setup. The input is ready to bolt onto the offset ports on the compressor. I'm going to hopefully have a buddy do the machineing for the output of the block to work for o-rings and the thirdgen V6 lines.

I have lost the invoice for the p/s resevoir.
In addition to this you will need a vette p/s pump,A/C compressor, balancer, move several wires and reclock the alternator. The p/s lines are different too. I think I got to reuse my p/s pump bolts. The compressor can be bought from Autozone for $300, but doesn't come with the top plate
This will put you where I am now.

what did you guys do about the ECM...did you have to delete the a/c codes, or is there a place for everything to plug into....like the a/c evaporator temp. sensor?

I originally had the codes deleted. When I put the new engine in I had them put back. I am going to wire mine up just like the fourth gens. I will not have a cycling switch on the accumulator and I will use the 4th gen evaporator sensor. I will let everyone know how this works.

Where did you get the p/s reservior from? Can't seem to find one.

BTW. I am going to pick your brain like crazy. I decided to go the vette route a while back. Have a 93 LT1 out of a firebird and a 92 vette harness and ECM.

"Reclock the alternator"? What if you already have a vette alt?

GM. It was about $50. The bracket that holds it was $40. I made a bracket instead. I believe this is the part #26024352. The number is apparently invalid. Call the dealer and ask if they can give you the number that replaced it. I found this on GMpartsdirect. The reclocking is for the F-body Alternator. The vette one fits no problem.

I doing an lt1 swap on a 86 IROC Z on the cooling fan should I use the 86 fan which has two wires are the 94 wire harness has 3 wire connector will I have too use a 94 corvette fan ??

just wonder what the lenght of the hoses I am doing that same swap into a 86 IROC Z Camaro but so I havent anyone that can make them but I just started looking thanks I came out with 56 inchs on the 5/8 and 36 inchs on the other one and that with an extra inch

I used the 94 Corvette AC line just cut the old hoses well an AC shop made new hoses using your picture the pictures really help but I used all the old tubing and connectors I polished all the alummium lines they turn out nice thank you
