third gen a/c on ls1 wiring question
ok so i got the brackets to mount the thirdgen a/c compressor to the ls1. now the wiring harness i had custom made for me is beautiful, but one questions i have is this. on the harness there is a wire for a/c request which i just splice into the a/c request on my car no big deal. and it has the thirdgen connector on the new harness. which i assume will engage/disengage the a/c clutch. one thing i noticed is there is no pressure switch in my new harness. could his be a possible problem? i was told that teh compressor should shut itself off when the psi is too high. true? what are your thoughts on this.
thanks i start my project this friday and i am seriously hoping only to have my car down for about 2 weeks while the swap takes place. haha at least i hope. i have everything ill need but you know how that goes. haha

you dont want to run without any pressure switch... the compressor is "dumb".. theres no check built into it.. and if you run it dry like that, it will fail.
