LT1 TRACTION

I finnaly got all the bugs worked out of the lt1 third gen swap. Now for you guys that have already done this swap (lt1 auto into a third gen), at what percentage throttle do your tires breaks loose?

Mine breaks loose under half throttle. I am running 275/40/17 bfg g force tires, I know that there is not much side wall but I really do not want to put slicks or drag radials on it. I was thinking that I would put dag radials on the stock 15" rims for the track.

I have adjustable kyb agx shocks and struts how should I set them up for traction?
I also relocated the control arms and have all hotchkis and edelbrock suspention components.

How does everyone get traction with their lt1 swap??????????

I don't. Mine will break them loose in first and second when hammering on it. Now if I go from about 20mph it will break them loose a bit in first. But from a stop, forget it 2000 rpm and it's sideways.

ditto...w/ shift kit and all that jazz in my tranny just regular 15mph quarter throttle chirps 2nd....I gotta be careful turning at lights if the cars gonna shift into 2nd or I better hold on tight.

you have to learn how to feather the throttle.. with street tires I could break 1st, 2nd and chirp third.. anything more than 25% throttle and an aggressive clutch would spin them on a heads and cam car. Best I can say is all the rear suspension mods in the book made her not step sideways too much, just make a lot of noise and smoke with no movement

well, i DRIVE my car, instead of holding the pedal a percentage... soo.

if i try to spin them, they spin.
if i just want to go, they dont spin much, if at all.

theres not going to be a TPS value where they spin at...
