Axle/Gears: 3.23
LQ9 vs L98

Hows does the weight compare between the two engines. Assuming the LQ9 had the Aluminum heads rather then the Iron ones.

more cubes, more compression, more power, more mileage, use the lq9=)

iron headed l98
alum head lq9 are gonna be close. within 10-20 pounds.
i went from an aluminum headed small block to the 6.0 and gaines about 60 pds.
the bottom end is HEAVY. blocks weigh a ton. prolly as much or more as a dart or a motown block for an SBC.
