LS1 ECM programed

Can I have the basic things taken off to swap a LS1 in a 3rd gen by mail order company or is it best to buy a soft ware like edit and do these thigs myself since I'm only going to do a cam swap. I know I'll have to do some tunning on it when I get this done I do the cam swap. But I have looked at some mail order programs and they are $500 AND UP

Send it to Speartech or Vengeance Racing they can remove all the unnecessary items (VATS, Evap, EGR, downstreams etc), set your fan cut on/off, and give you a good baseline tune based on the specs of your cam, and whether or not you are running headers or aftermarket intake MAF etc. I don't have Speartech's number but Vengeance Racing is 678-513-7105. Talk to Ron and tell him what you are doing before you send it to them. They are located in Cumming, GA (just north of Atlanta) so if your close by you can take it directly to them.

There ia a guy in Ashland KY who tuned mine. He is very good at it. I piad him $150 to tune in my cam and delete pretty much anything and everything not needed. I can even delete the 02's and Maf if I want but have yet to do so. I dont know how far away you are but I would look into it. If you go to KyHORSEPOWER.com chck the banner at the top for BlueCat.

I just used HP tuners to delete everything and also to tune my car. There are a couple of tuning devices you can use. Good luck with whatever you choose to go with!!!
