Is it an LS1 or LT1 or maybe ...

Hello. Short question here. This guy who is selling his thirdgen claims it's got an LS1 engine installed in there. Now I'm not that familiar with the more recent V8's. Can anyone tell me what we're looking at here ?
Is it indeed an LS1 ?

I have a suspicion about this guy being full of $£@# so I'd like to hear from you guys if he's telling the truth. This is the only picture of the engine he sent me.

Thanks guys, that confirms my suspicions !
This guy is selling his camaro on ebay, at a starting price of $10,000.00 !
claiming extreme performance. I talked to him on the phone and he told
me a vivid tale of outrunning many sports cars on the street, saying he is selling it because it is "too wild" and he is a "church man"

I was initially interested in the car because its all black, has a t-roof and a 91-92 front end.And if it really HAD an LS1, I might have even offered him good money for it, but now things have changed !

Here he is :

Car: I've had 4 thrid gens!!
Engine: Someday again I will have another!!
That guy has 0 feedback. The ad is missing the VIN number. I bet its a 305. Also where is the Iroc hood, fog lights, and decals? Just a dash emblem and rims make it a Iroc? I would want to see the RPO tag. That car is no where near worth his ridiculous price! Scam?

What is the difference in the '89 and '92 front end that would make it more appealing? It was probably in a wreck. -Nick.

Well its really only the front ground effects of the 91-92 camaros which I find more appealling, not the entire front end, which is in essence identical.

This guy is quite a character ! You should give him a call, he will tell you wild tales of brutal acceleration "it hits a 100 mph like nothing and keeps pulling harder and harder" , about outrunning bmw's at the stoplights and the guys then coming up to him asking "wow what car is that", he says he bought it 2 months ago for $9500 (??!!) , its too fast for him , and people constantly want to buy it off him, but he thinks he will get more $$$ on ebay.

The engine doesnt even look like its been worked on, or modified in some way ...

Albeit the interior looks pretty good (except for the missing headliner), the exterior looks to be of different paint colors (front looks gloss while the B-pillar looks flat black), and the intake is nothing more than white tape and chunks of whatever plastic pieces may remain from the original.

I would say no more than 3k tops. I live in Raleigh and theres no way that car could go for 5k around here.

He also lists it as a 1977 car, with a 91' front end, and a Corvette IROC 89' motor. I would believe nothing that man says.

But THIS CAR is a work of art.

I'm pretty sure I've seen that white one before. I can't remember if it was on eBay or maybe it was posted somewhere else on the net, maybe when it was finished in it's current condition.

Talk about lifting the tires!!

those aren't even IROC taillights. Flat black paint and another color firewall (like previously mentioned) it's amazing what people will try and pull off...

It is also a very rare sunroof convertible....and with the 91 front end I just can not imagine why there were no bidders.
