Build mine short and simple. I dont even need any sort of hold down or extra brackets. Its sturdy as heck.

This is before the motor was completed...but it shows the best shot of the intake installed.



A look at the backside...



One more. I didnt need those t-bolt clamps...they are alittle overkill. But I liked them better than regular band clamps...they look better. I need to order one more still.

That's a stock 83 coupe hood right thar. It's just the angle the pic was taken at, there are no vents or breaks of any kind.

One a side note, do they sell these types of filters in paper versions? I'd rather not have to worry about the filter (cleaning/oiling and such) and would rather just replace it with a cheap paper one. I heard paper filters can be just as good or better because they don't let as many small particles through?
