IDEAS! Suggestions requested

OK, I've been outa the car gig for quite some time. I've got the itch really really bad now. I've had two 3rd gen camaros and one 3rd gen T/A. I'm looking to get another of either or (preferably a shell only) and do a serious 1.5-2 year conversion of it. Here is my current plan, but I would like help being pointed in the right direction if someone has done something similar or knows where I can find more info from someone who has. This cars intention is to reach around 700hp on pump gas, maintain daily driveability with a/c, p/s, p/w, p/l, stereo, etc. Only thing I will probably delete will be the rear seat and power seats up front. I will be building a custom dash for it, and custom center console. Other than that, the standard interior parts will just be rehabbed or replaced, carpet to head board. Has anyone done anything like this? Like I said, it's been a long time since I've read most of the forums, and would like some advice/suggestions for this build. Engine building will probably start this fall with the goal of having the powertrain done by spring so it'll be ready to be mocked up and test fit into the chassis. Thanks for the input!

3rd gen Camaro or T/A
Forged 346 LS1 (might stroke it...dunno yet)
AFR heads
Edelbrock fuel injected intake (the TBI style with a 90mm tb)
Twin Turbo/Front mount setup (custom headers and turbo plumbing by my buddy at V&P Racing unless this has been done before)
Tubular K-Member and front suspension
T-56 6 speed trans
10pt cage
Moser 12bolt/narrowed
Tubbed rear
4-link rear? or stay with torque arm setup? depends on exhaust clearance at this point
Custom fuel tank and supply system
FAST electronics and Painless Wiring

Yes, I'm definitely prepared to spend a lot of cash on this. Off duty jobs for the money!

It's not that I'm unfamiliar with building cars. I've built quite a few 9 second street rides, but that was 2+ years ago. They were LS1 and C5R motors for the most part too, so I'm not unfamiliar with the LS1 block. I'm really not needing advice for the power or anything, just curious if anyone has done a swap like this, or even close to it. As in....will the standard twin turbo setup from an LS1 car fit into an L98 engine bay? Those kinda questions, and where to get the swap parts (trans mount, engine mounts, etc).

I do love third gens But.... Isn't it kind of like putting a diamond collar on a pig? Why not start with a gen II or gen III corvette. I think you will wind up with a $80,000.00 firebird that you will never get $20,000.00 for if you sell it.

I seriously doubt it as the engine bays are quite different from fourth gen to third gen and they maximize the usage of space when designing a TT set up.

There are a few wicked third gens out there and some are on this board. If your prepared to buy all the things on your above list then i certainly wouldnt worry about mounts and whatnot just make em up to suit or have em made that will cost nada compared to everything else. Heres a link that may interest you

Thanks for the link. And I knew the tt setup wouldn't fit over, just showing the type of questions to be asked.

And 89rs, to answer your question...I just have a hard on for 3rd gen f-body cars...need to satisfy that need. Besides...I only like corvettes pre 69 and post 97, minus the ZR1's.
