305TPI to LT1 Basics
Hey Thridgener's, Dave here I got a 89 Firebird Formula with no distributor or battery and a worn CAM. I'm trying to come to the conclusion what would be better, just tearing the motor out and finding a Carbed 350 and toss it in and not having to screw with all the computer crap. Or toss a complete LT1 from a 93-97 TA/Camaro. Now I have been reading for years how easy the LT1 swap can be but I'm at the point where I really dont want to have to mess or encounter Computer issues. Also the thing is I don't trust myself to swap the Motor myself so I would have my Mechanic do the swap for me, I just need to know exactly what will be required for the swap other than just the base motor, I'm talking what brackets, sensors, tubing, etc.... other than what is below:
Dual radiator fans
1993 F-Body radiator hoses
Custom fuel lines
TPI or aftermarket high pressure fuel pump
Powersteering lines
Powersteering resevoir
Custom A/C lines
CarQuest A/C adapter
Modified passenger motor mount (for A/C)
Modified crossmember (for A/C)
LT1 VATS module
LT1 throttle cable
