mounting cruise
I have been deciding where to mount the control box and every spot seems ugly under the hood. I thought about putting it under the dash but how noise will this steeper motor be? another Idea I had was to place it into the fender so the only thing you would see is the cable. any ideas or pictures?

Re: mounting cruise
Use the cruise control box from a Caprice/Impala it will have the shorter cable and you should be able to mount it under the hood. I've been trying to find one but haven't had any luck with it yet.

Re: mounting cruise
it's not the need for a shorter cable just trying to find a good spot for it

Re: mounting cruise
I moved my batt from the drivers side to the passenger side. Then I mounted my LS1 fuse boxes over where the batt used to be. I mounted the cruise box right below them. Right next to the radiator. Cable goes up the "chassis rail", crosses over the back of the brake booster, around the firewall, then up under the fuel rail cover. Cant hardly see any of it...
You can hardly pick out the cable back behind the intake area. If you look over by my fuse boxes, you can see some stray wires kind of balled up. Thats the cruise wiring. I havent wired it up or loomed it or anything. Still messy down there...

No better pics..but I can get one for ya if you want. You can hide the box other places too. You could even mount the box from the underside of the batt tray or something. Just gotta make sure the cable and run out, and it cant make super tight 90 degree turns...

Re: mounting cruise
How did you guys wire yours in? I have a 1998 cruise module from a Trans Am, can I wire it into my original cruise wiring and use my stock cruise controls on my turn signal switch?

here is a what I wrote up since no one could give me a answer it was clear they really didn't know.
you can see I made a bracket to mount it where the stock cruise used to be. (even uses the indent of the washer jug like the original servo did)
