obd0 - obd1 aldl LT1
Is there any difference in the ALDL ports between these two? The obd1-obd2 are way different because obd1 is 12 pin and obd2 is 16. But where there any pin or wire color differences between these? I'm trying to wire up my 94 aldl port and can't find a schematic.
Thanks guys
Thanks guys

I am confused. 94 is still OBD 1. The OBD2 plug came in 95, but those were still OBD 1.

I would go ahead and wire up an OBDII port, 4 wires is all that's needed....serial data, power and two grounds. OBDI ports don't have power and for your scanner or programming cable, you would have to hook into the cig lighter for it to work. If you goto AKM cables you can see the schematics for the ALDLs there.

Sorry. I was trying to wire up my 94 PCM to the ALDL in my 89 chassis. Turns out that the 89 ALDL is wired the same as the 94. I used my manual for the 89 to wire it up.
In 95 it all changed as it goes to OBDII.

Actually no, some things were some things weren't. My '95 PCM is OBDI but had an OBDII connector under the dash.
