Re: Lt1 swap torque arm

Take apart the torque-arm-mount(bushing?) on the tranny and their should be about 2 halves.
Take the half of the mount that goes on the tranny and bolt it on. Bolt the actual torque arm on the rear first. Move the torque arm down and put the other half of the torque-arm-mount on the tranny. Torque arm should now be in place.

Re: Lt1 swap torque arm

my fault for not being clear, I meant I forgot to put the torque arm bracket on the transmission before I bolted it on, and seems there is no way it could go in from the bottom

Re: Lt1 swap torque arm

anyone knows the easiest way to install the torquearm bracket with the transmission already bolted up without unbolting crossmemeber, and all that stuff.with the screw attached to the torque arm bracket, it seems impossible putting the torque arm bracket on from the bottom!

You're going to have to drop the tail of the tranny. Ain't no other way.

Put a jack under the tranny before you unbolt the crossmember.
