Lt1 air intake

hey is anyone using the air housing box off the old camaros that goes from the throttle body and splits up into 2 chambers that runs to the front of car for air? Would this be better for air circulation? I am just running a K&N filter to the elbow of that connects to throttle body

The stock tpi camaro air box is very restrictive, not good for the LT1.

I took a piece of 4 inch mandrel bent exhaust pipe from summitracing and cut it to fit. Sprayed it with bedliner and good to go..

you can see it in this thread post #17 of "project 82lt1 about to live again" page two of the lsx/ltx forum.. can't seem to post a link that works, but its there.

it could be made to go either direction.. even if that sort of design wouldn't work it is pretty easy to make something to fit.

has anyone tried any of that aftermarket cold air kits that for the 93-97 F-bodys? will these fit in the 82-92's ?

There is a guy on here running a newer GTO cold air on his LS1 swap. It would be the same principle as an LT1.
