Lt1 head swap?

Ok I recently got a 95 LT1 for a swap into my 86 TA, pretty much have to swap the heads out and was wondering if i could bolt up some 69 vette lt1 heads 2.02/1.6, and will reverse flow cooling and computer work with them etc. thanks

At least give the poor guy an explanation.

'69 "LT-1" = Gen I SBC (actually, I thought it was 1970, but I could be wrong).

'92-'97 "LT1" = Gen II SBC.

'69 LT-1 heads would be a downgrade, if they fit (which they don't) on a Gen II LT1.

Don't let the fact that the factory reused a designation (mostly) fool you into thinking they are the same thing, compatible, etc.

Re: Lt1 head swap?

oh i know just cause they're both lt1 doesnt mean anything, i just have a 69 vette 350 with 2.02/1.6 64cc heads and didnt know if they would work, pretty much cause reverse flow cooling teh coolant passages dont match up etc and they have steam holes bla bla bla and gotta have lt1 heads pretty much, only real issue is i guess 1 spark plug hole is stripped, could i helicoil it?
