ok, ive got an 84 trans am with an 02 ls1/t56, i bought the car off a member on here a couple of months ago, the car has been great, but has some body issues, rotten rear quarter, lots of dents etc...ive got an 86 base model with a 5spd and a 305, i was just wondering what problems i could run into by swapping everything (radiator, fans, motor, harness, trans, fuel lines, gas tank etc) into my 86, the body of the 86 is in great shape, is a couple hundred pounds lighter than the 84, and doesnt have ttops that leak.

 

Shouldn't run into too many issues

you'll have to figure out the fuel pump wiring, but if you snag it all from the donor car (the 84). Only potential issue is the bulkhead connector. I'd make sure all the pins match. Worse case scenario, is swapping out the interior harness.....
