LT1 plumbing question

ok im looking into getting a junked 4th gen and doing a full lt1/t56 swap soon but im hung up on the AC and the fuel/PS lines, i keep seeing posts about people using caprice and impala lines but i was wodering if i could just do my own lines with steel braided hose because ive done it on my old silverado as the lines failed, and what sizes would i need?

Also last question, is the painless wiring harness worth it? instead of transplanting the 4th gen and splicing it to ours? i want this to be as quick and simple as possible
