I got the car running it is a 89 with a 94 iron head lt1 but I have a code 18 witch is a injector intermittent fault and it will not go away. This is what I have checked all injectors are at 13.2 ohms but one at 12.8ohms all pcm grounds are good all injectors have 12v, no wiring are shorted . New are the opti and pcm and I hade the code before I replaced them I can get a data log if that helps thanks tyler

 

I can tell you this, 30# injectors are way to big for that motor, may be the possible reason for this code.

I know about the injectors due to the build I did on my Mustang 5.0, aluminum heads with 1.94/1.54 valves, cam with .498/.498 .284/.284 at .050 with 282 duration with 110 centerline, 70mm MAF and 65mm TB and it was way to much for the engine, might want to put the stock 24's back in it and see if it helps out.

 

With those mods did you see if you where maxing out the stockers? IMHO the tb is also to big.Lost of toys huh Klortho? lol

 

at this time i do not have the TB or #30 injectors in. can a leakey injector do this, if i do replace the injectors which should i put in #24 #26

 

I would put the stocker 24# injectors in to see what happens. A leaky injector would just cause it to be hard to start, may want to put an o-ring kit which possibly could cause one to throw the code.
