Do I need a pcv valve??
Ok so I'm nearing the end of my LTx engine swap and I'm setting up some left behind vaccume lines and since I put a Delteq coil pack system on (that mounts to my valve cover) it covers one of the 4 valve cover holes, the other three have 1; from the pass. side cover back spot, a hose off of a 90degree fitting to the throttle body. 2; which is on the pass side also, the oil fill cap. 3; a breather. Is there somewhere else i can run the pcv valve to on the LT1 engine? or shoudl I remove the breather and run the pcv valve to there? or is the pcv not really needed?? i don't really understand what it does.
thanks for the help.

You do not want to run breathers in a system that has a Mass Air Flow sensor. The MAF won't read all of the air going into the manifold and mess up the computer readings.
The PCV valve connects to vacuum lines on the front and drivers side of the intake manifold.
For the 90 degree fitting, that can be replaced with a generic air filter from advance auto so you don't get oil in your throttle body. I'll have to look up the part number for that.

Re: Do I need a pcv valve??
How does the MAF read extra air due to removing the PCV?? There shouldnt be any un-metered air getting into the motor if you completely delete the PCV system.
If you remove ALL ove the PCV system, and cap off all of the ports both vac. and fresh air, you should be fine. A lot of LSx guys run just a breather due to the LS motors sucking oil into the intake.
That said...my suggestion, since the LT motors dont suffer from the inherent oil ingestion that the LS motors do, is to rebuild your PCV set up, and run it like its supposed to be on an LT. My PCV was allowing oil into the intake...so I ditched it in favor of a breather set up.
