GTO LS Engine into 88 Camaro

Hi Guys,
Has anyone on here swapped an engine from a GTO into a 3rd Gen? I was wondering if the accessory drive will work. Also what about the bellhousing for the T56, slave cylinder ect.

Thanks in advance
Dean

It's mentioned in the LS1 swap sticky, and a search on this subforum for GTO will yield the info you need.

The accessory drive, intake, etc will work.

The Exhaust manifolds wont work, and the only cars i see the oil pans fit in is the Nissan 240SX. Your going to need an f-body LS1 pan. Otherwise you should be good for everything else.

If im understanding correctly, im not 100% sure.

The GTO pan is a front sump. The crossbar would have to be pretty far back for it to clear.
