Please help identify on LSx

As I said previously I got my engine as a longblock. Technically its an LS6 but I doubt that matters for these questions. Anyway I have a few items I need help identifying.

Please refer to the attached photo:

1. I assume this is supposed to be capped, the cap is torn so I should replace correct?
2. What goes here? I have no idea what goes where this orange plug is.
3. Does this stay capped? If not, where should it go.
4. I believe this is the PCV which gets hooked to throttle body correct?

Thanks for the help guys. I just got the engine mounted in the bay so gonna start a swap thread shortly.

Re: Please help identify on LSx

1. Some guys cap this and claim the block is vented well enough internally and this is not needed but I piped it from one valve cover over to the other just to be safe.

2. The stock oil pressure sender goes there but its not nec to run the engine ( meaning the PCM wont throw codes if you dont hook this up )

3. Hooks up the the throttle body

4. Yes I'm pretty sure thats the LS6 style PVC which gets hooked up to vacuum but you'll want to confirm that over at LS1tech just search out LS6 PCV and you'll find lots of info

*sigh* Its seems like its always just one more thing to buy

cam-

So got another question.

Q1. On the back of the intake, is there anything specific the little vacuum line goes to? I assume the large one goes to the brake booster.

Q2. What did you use for the air intake tube, elbow, filter, etc. (havent searched on this, sorry if its out there)

For my intake tube, i use a 4" Sewer pipe 90* elbow, some rubber connections to go from my MAF to my filter. Its not perfect by any means, but it gets the job done.

It does sound funny but if it works and looks ok...I'll have to look into that
