some advice please.
i have a 86 IROC Z with the dog of a 305. looking to put in a carb'd 350.
i have a line on 2002 LQ4 vortec v8 outa 2500HD aluminum heads....just curious if anyone knows what the camaro would be like with this motor in.....seems to produce its max power at lower RPM's 4,500 i think??? that normal for most 350's???
would this engine run ok with carburated set up?
would it bolt to the 700R4?
am newer to domestic's ......have come over from the darkside (imports) haha.........anyways, any info much appreciated.....

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.
The LQ4 is in the LSx family. So, check out the sub-forum and LSx swap sticky in the top section of this and the sub-forum.
My personal opinion - putting a carb on that family of engine is a travesty. Some have done it, a few talk about it, but it's a downgrade in every sense (in my personal opinion).
In fact, let's move this to that sub-forum.
