VATS cancellation

hi iam swapping to an lt1 and need info on cancelling the vats since my 86 doesnt have it any way to do so? does the dealer do it and if so how much?

No dealer does that stuff.
Just find a person to tune it out along with other stuff you don't need.

Or I guess you could get a bypass box, but those seem like a waste of money when the other way gets you more things.

and how would i do that just take the pcm? because it is already tuned that would mess up the tune right?

Go to ebay and look for a vats bypass module. I bought one for 20 bucks or so and it worked great. Easy to install on your computer.......

Dido, ebay or google search. That's what I done too and $20 and 10 minutes later good to go.
