just some info on weights on different engine combo's

I thought you guys would be interested in know these weights.

1989 L98: corvette/f-body aluminum heads:

Total Dressed Engine Mass (Dry Weight) -

Automatic Trans: 541.2 lbs (245.5 kg)
Manual Trans: 592.2 lbs (268.6 kg)

LT1:

576.4lbs dressed and dry

For the LS1 and LS6:

LS1 Total Dressed Engine Weight: Auto. - 457.6 lbs. (208 kg); Manual - 497.2 lbs (226 kg)
LS6 Total Dressed Engine Weight: (Manual only) - 497.2 lbs (226 kg)

all weights per corvetteaction.com

Fe block (iron) such as the LQ4/LQ9 block
weigh 65 pounds more than the aluminum block with the steel sleeves installed.
per a sponsor/member from zo6vette.com

personally, I am going with a LQ9 with L92/L76 and a custom cam. around the 210/218 mark, because I am going to install a blower eventually. The small cam should make more power than larger cams up to the 6000+ rpm range then the larger duration come into play with the peakiness of the curve.
personally, I like under the curve... and all the lS1 cars I have built and modified, under the curve power beats a peaky curve everytime.
