LS1 wiring questions
Im building a custom harness from a truck harness and am stumped on a few things
ECT, I know the 97-98 LS1 ETC's integrated the gauge into the PCM sensor using 3 wires
Does anyone have a pinout of this connector?
Mine doesnt have the correct Yel/Blk/Dk Grn wiring to judge from
HO2s, Do all (GM/Delco)HO2s operate the same? As in could you move a rear HO2 to the front position assuming you swapped the connectors or do they give different signals?
Next why did GM use so many connectors for these?
So far Ive got a pair of flat 4 male (front)
pair of square 4 male (truck rear)
pair of square 4 female (fbody)
What gives?
Next after much grief i found the pinout and diagram for the 4L60E connectors
Confirm there are only 2, a 13 pin large round on the pass side, and a 2 pin twisted VSS
Ebay photos show a large connector near the shift linkage, I have no wiring to support this or even know what it is
Why is the factory TPS wiring heavier gauge than the factory grounds? From what I could tell all it carries is 5v
PCM pin blue 75 is labled "Off/Run/Crank voltage"
What is this and can I feed it 12v constant (batt)
How many wires and what color do factory Fbody LS1 alternators use? I have the truck pigtail with brown and gray wires going to Red 15(Gen on signal) and Red 52(field duty cycle)
Comparing to Fbody wiring I only see 1 wire going to Red 15 and nothing to Red 52
VSS/Speedo, 3rd gens use 4000/2000 pulse per mile signals for their speedo/cruise units
From what Ive read LS1s use 40/20 pulse per revolution for speedo/cruise
Are they the same?
