Re: just wondering

When I did my first LT1 swap the engine had 40k on it and was guaranteed to run.. with that all I did was change out the any sensors that could be crapped out or worn, cleaned it up and put it in..

If you have a warm fuzzy and don't want to mod the internals I would replace any seal that might cause you major grief later and put it in the car.

Re: just wondering

Looks clean to me. My 5.3L i just cleaned up the outside and shoved`r in.

6.0L was stripped to the shortblock for cam heads and all new gaskets.

LS series gaskets were very well designed from the factory, and dont have any common leakin problems im aware of.

Yeah? So am I... I'm guessing that you'll be fine, like Sheldon said, the LS-series engines are pretty well designed...
