LS1 Fuel Rail + Truck Coils?
Well after a day of working on pulling my 305, I decided that I would try putting my truck coils on the motor, just to see how they fit. Turns out the main fuel feed line on the fuel rail exits right into the side of one of the coil packs. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

I remounted the coil lower on the truck coil bracket. But, the fuel rail inlet still had to be bent up a little bit to clear the truck coil bracket.
I was going to post pictures of this but didn't have enough else to say since my previous update thread. . .

Awesome, sounds simple enough, I just didnt wanna go bending things for no reason.

Realized I hadn't taken good pictures of this, so went out and took a couple. You can see how the #5 coil is relocated. And, the fuel rail fitting originally was horizontal.
In hind sight, truck coils on the passenger side and LS1 coils on the driver's side would make more sense. But, I didn't think about that until after I had made the deal for the full truck-for-LS1-coils trade, and I suppose there are "form" guys would would consider that anathema.
Of course, the guy in the latest Super Chevy mag who put an LS in his 1st gen moved the coils under the dash. . .

Are you still jealous?
Yeah, yeah. I'm a function-over-form guy all the way. I take covers like that off engines, not add them.
