sourcing wiring stuff
is there anywhere i can find just the connector ends for wiring harnesses? i need like the c100 connector, but i hate to cut it off my perfectly good underhood harness that someone else would probably need. anyone got a hacked up harness that i could get a connector off of? or a source for them? thanks,

Re: sourcing wiring stuff
You can look for used connectors/harnesses... Or...this might help.
First, here is a good thread, with all the connectors labeled. This is for 99-02 LS1 cars. Good reference.
http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/conver...ification.html
Here are the Delphi part numbers for the C100 plugs.
C100 female end is Delpi part number 1206-5425
C100 male end is Delpi part number 1204-8253
From this thread:
http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/conver...onnectors.html
You take those 8 digit numbers, and paste them right into this site:
www.mouserelectronics.com
It will take you to the connectors. Im not sure what all comes with them...you might get the terminals, you might have to order a pack to go with it. Mouser can help you with that. Its cheap, and you can get all new connectors if you wish. If you look around on that site, it'll take you assembly instructions, drawings, specs...whatever you want to know about them.
Oh..if you need other small connectors or PCM connectors, check here.

Im sure there are other searches...those are just from my records.

Re: sourcing wiring stuff
ok, since you appear to be the expert on all things swap around here, and i have read your thread over and over, i'll ask you this. did you use the connector on the firewall by the brake booster, i think its called c100 but maybe not, or remove both ends of that connector? i am still searching around for the answer, but i'm not getting very far it seems like. just not sure how to get the harness on my 03 6.0 to mesh with my existing stuff. i really wnat the gauges and everything to all work, fwihtout hacking up everything behind the dash if at all possible. thanks,

Re: sourcing wiring stuff
Go to a junk yard and rob a harness from a V6 or partially cut up car
Itll get cut down to something like this depending if you reuse factory relays/alt wiring

The heavy gauge red and purple wires are the only ones that you MUST keep
Others are for your discretion
Refer to this site for pins/colors
Down at the bottom are C100/C207 pinouts

Re: sourcing wiring stuff
techrunner... Im sorry. I think I misunderstood your post. Where you looking for stock harness plug... or the LS1 plugs. I assumed you meant LS1 since it was in this section.
If you need the bulkhead connector for the thirdgen, you'll need to either cut up your harness, or grab a used harness. You might be able to buy the outside part new....but I wouldnt know where from. Maybe GM.
What Pocket posted is correct. You want to leave your bulkhead connector in the car, and sort out the wires you need. It has some essential wires and some that you no longer need. The years are alittle different, so you'll have to look at the diagrams and make sure you arent cutting something out that you need. I think I only have half a dozen or so wires coming out of my bulkhead connector right now. The thicker wires are your starter wire, 12v feed into the interior, and there is a thick pink switched 12v wire coming out that you can use to trigger your start up relays and power your LS1 circuits.
Im running the 4th gen fuse blocks, so I use that wire to trip the IGN relay..which turns everything else on.
If you dont want to cut your factory harness...just grab a used one. I cant say for sure that the V6 ones will work...but I see no reason why they wouldnt, since you are just using the basic functions from that harness.
J.
EDIT: Here is all the wires Im using. You can see the red power feeds going over the booster, purple starter also over the booster, pink IGN wire running up front, and then some smaller stuff. I believe some are for the wiper motor...but I cant recall. Im also not positive on the other wire running along the pink one...trying to remember what that was for. Its easy to figure out what you need and dont need. Just trace them.

Re: sourcing wiring stuff
ghetto - thanks man, that was the pic i was looking for. i might just cut up my harness a little i guess, keep the ends and whatever i find that should stay with the car. part of me thinks i shouldn't cut it just because i would think someone out there would like a factory uncut harness for a tpi restoration or conversion, but then i guess it doesnt matter much if i cant find that person huh. might as well make my car look the best i can and keep the original connectors. thanks guys for the help. hoping i can tackle the wiring next week if i get my motor mounts fri and get the block in place sat maybe.

Re: sourcing wiring stuff
Glad we could help ya.
When I put my combo from my 87 into my 86, I kept the 86's LG4 harness intact, and transfered my 87's harness over...since it was already cut up and set up for the LS1 wiring. It really simplifies your wiring if you do a neat job of it. Its much better than having a rat nest of wires that are doing nothing.
Good luck!
