LT1 coolant lines
I tried doing a search and couldn't find the answer, I need to know how to run the cooler lines. The water pump has three smaller outlets, i'm not using the heater, can I just cap them? Or do I have to loop them together. Which one goes to the radiator?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: LT1 coolant lines
I think you can cap off all 3, and if you have the LT1 radiator, you can cap the small lower opening.

Might not be much info in that link on the info you want. You can cap the lines and hose clamp them down. Lower one would go to the LT1 radiator.

Re: LT1 coolant lines
It is overheating I am using a thridgen radiator and had all the lines caped then I ran the one from the lower driver side of the pump to the radiator and still over heating. thanks
Re: LT1 coolant lines
The hard line from the heads should not be capped. Its a hard line that runs along the intake manifold. That line goes to the radiator somehow.
If thats not it, test the thermostat. Take it out, throw it in a kettle or sausepan with water, then put that kettle on a kitchen stove. Heat it up to about 200 degrees or boiling water point, if it changes(opens/closes) then its good.
