Various questions regarding my LSX block, need help.
First off, I'm assuming the two little outlets on the throttle body here are for the coolant flow through the TB to keep it from freezing in the winter? If that's the car, then I should be able to cap those off since I'm not going to use this feature? I was thinking about litterally cutting off the outlets closer to the body of the TB to clean it up a bit, but wanted to make sure what all needs to be done in order to delete the coolant flow feature.

Secondly, I am having a bit of a problem getting the power steering pump on the block. The reason for this is the new line I bought for the pump doesn't seem to fit right. I specifically purchased an Fbody line from rockauto.com but when the line comes out of the pump, it heads towards the rear of the block and down, but the problem is that the driver side head is right there. Am I doing something wrong, or do I need to swivel the line around so it is pointing a different direction?
Here you can see how bad it really is. The serpentine pulley on the pump isn't anywhere near where it should be, and the line is already hitting the head:

Thirdly, what is this hole for? It's right next to the camshaft position sensor on the rear of the block. My first guess was probably a hole to mount a ground wire? I think I remember there being a ground wire back there somewhere, but wasn't sure if that's what this is, or if there's something else that goes here:

At at last, for now, is my injectors. I don't know how far the injectors are supposed to sit in the intake manifold, but mine seem to not sit very deep. I'm not sure if it's because of the style of injectors or what, but you can see inside the holes on the manifold that there is a "knotch" where it looks like the tip of the injectors would have something similar to make them lock into place? I'm not sure what else it would be for, but anyways my injectors don't have anything like that on the tips. They're completely round all the way around the radius. I pushed the injectors as far deep into the holes as I could, and I know someone is going to get perverted with this, but regardless, I still need help haha. I bolted down the fuel rails and pushed the injectors as far into the rails and the manifold as I could, and it looks like the o-rings are sitting pretty good. I just want to be sure so I don't make a caveman fire the first time I go to start the motor.

The TB coolant lines just go under the blade seat and heat up the small area. Heaksoak does the rest
Once the lines are disconnected the whole area stays dry. Cut the tubes off with no ill effect
Looks like the PS line needs to be clocked back a little more or maybe gently bent. This is the best pic i could find

My LS1 doesnt have the rear hole drilled but there is a boss cast in. Plug it and put some sort of sealant on the threads in case it has some sort of fluid behind it
Those look like older style injectors which are slightly shorter than LS1 injectors and may be the reason for your poor fitment
I had to doublecheck on my intake ports. Yes the little notch is there and i have no idea why. My injectors are off a LS1 and they have no such tang to hit the groove preventing rotation

Cool thanks. The thing I did notice is the o-rings are not visible so I suppose they should be sealed well enough. The injectors are Rotax Racing I believe, made for high performance watercraft but the guy I got them from was using them on his Silverado with an LS1 intake. They're 42lb injectors.

1. You cant plug those openings on the TB they are for the IAC and? regardless need em both. Read the sticky over at LS1tech on how to port your own throttle body its all explained there in detail with pics.
2. Pockets pic looks good to me
3. no clue I cant recall if I have it or not and cant see downt here on my car so good luck
4. So long as the o-ring goes in the intake and the clips hold em in I'd say your fine

Going by his pic the top two irregularly shaped holes are for the IAC/PCV and cannot be plugged
The bottom two external lines connected to the TB are the coolant tubes and can be cut off without any harm. Also judging by the shape and direction of them, it appears to be a truck TB so he'd have quite a bit of trouble using them

Sorry, yes it is a truck TB. The coolant nipples shoot straight out towards the water pump, so I was thinking of cutting them off.

A pic of my line (the best I think I have).

The line should go under the pump. I can take another look at mine when I get home (it's one thing on my engine that hasn't been disturbed).

Yea I got the line problem figured out. I had to loosen it up and pivot it downwards a bit more. It was kind of an optical illusion at first...

Put the retaining clips on the fuel rail for the injectors. You might find that you have to pull the injectors out of the rail a bit to get the cilps to go onto the injectors properly. The clips fit into a groove around the injectors, and it is possible to push the injectors up too far without the clips in place. See if that helps. Also, dont be afraid to put alittle dab of sil-glide or something to let the o-rings slide in better.
I wouldnt watn to see any of the o-ring up above the chamfer on the injector seat in the mainfold.
The threaded hole in the rear of the block could have been for a harness clip. Where the main harness runs behind the motor. Ive seen them use some huge hardware just to hold little clips in place before. Otherwise, i cant think of what would go back there.
