The engine mounts don't have to be moved. Use the 3rd gen mounts on the engine.

Detailed in the LT1 swap sticky.

Re: Engine mounts???

i dont mean to doubt what your saying just wanna make sure before i put it in..why is it that everyone is talking about the k-member being in the way of the a/c compressor when the mounts sit all the way foward on the k-member? also i have a t-56 im putting in this will not interfere with anything?

AC compressor is a different question from the mounts.

Ditto T56 mount vs. 3rd gen tranny.

Stock 3rd gen SBC mounts will bolt to the LT1 block. Nothing has to move.

However. . .

The way the f-body LT1 AC compressor was mounted interferes with the 3rd gen K-member - the K-member was completely changed for 4th gens. You can either notch and box the 3rd gen K-member, or get an aftermarket tubular K-member if you want to use the f-body LT1 AC compressor as-is.

The LT1 T56 requires a different or modified crossmember than stock 3rd gens. Such as http://www.spohn.net/shop/1982-1992-...ossmember.html
