VSS Question
VSS Question
Well I have pretty much everything done with my harness, extended and have every wire located and labeled so the swap should go smooth. Im getting a chip sent to me to get rid of the vss and switch it from auto to manuel.
The only question I have left is about the VSS wiring. Im using a 93 lt1 PCM and the stock T5 that I have in my 92 camaro. The PCM recieves the VSS HI(yel) and VSS LO(ppl) then has the 4000 ppm output. So my VSS also gives out the VSS HI(yel) and VSS LO(ppl) and then has the 4000 ppm output as well(I think). So I just cut a solder those wires to the VSS on the T5 right?
Car is a 92 rs with the 305/T5
LT1 with crank pulley headers and a chip im hoping for 315+ HP

Re: VSS Question
Yes, but is the 4000ppm the right signal for the LT1 ECM? It might be for a 93 but I know for later it is not. I'm just wondering.
Re: VSS Question
Plug into the stock VSS. Swap the connector if you have to
Somewhere in the years GM switched the HI/LO signal colors. If your speedo doesnt work, try reversing the wires
