finally decided to stay FI..need some help
ok iv decided i want to just save up and do it right.
i have a 92 rs auto and a 94 lt1.
i want to buy a t56 and swap that in. what are the prices on those? is it easier to keep it auto?
where can i get a pre made harness for the swap?
lt1 is gona stay stock except for a cam.
basically i want to know everything i need to do to get this done and some prices on stuff.

a t56 can run anywhere from real cheap like 600 bucks to around 1500+, depends on mileage and the seller.
i am in the middle of an lt1/t56 swap from auto; here is a list of parts i have compiled:
-spohn t56 x member 100
-pedals 50-100ish
-hydraulics 50-150ish
-pilot bearing 25
-poly motor mounts (stockers are fine, but might as well) 50
-poly trans mount 20
-fuel pump (only necessary when converting from non TPI car) 120
-fuel lines (lt1 rail doesnt line up with stockers, need to be changed at least from bay to rail) 30-200+, depends on material and length
-radiator (you need dual fans if you dont already have them, 4th gen rad. will work) try a junkyard, if not then 200+
-exhaust (lt1 is d ported, 3rd gen manifolds will work but they choke it up pretty good) headers are 250-1000
-wiring (good luck, i havent gotten there yet but i am making a new harness)
-PCM if you dont have it yet
-you may want to get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to dial in your new setup 100
i have spent just over 6k so far for the project.
car - 2350
lt1 and t56 - 2400
parts - right around 1500

Re: finally decided to stay FI..need some help
Save some money
SBC rubber mounts will work fine, no reason to upgrade unless you want to spend the extra
Single fan will work fine. 3rd gen V6 or V8 radiators are more than enough
3rd gen manifolds will choke the engine, but they will work. Use any 1 5/8" 3rd gen header to remedy this. Hedmans are cheap. More so when buying used
Wiring is already spoonfed in multiple threads. DIY for maximum cost savings or buy a stand alone from pretty much any wiring company
AFPR is an extra cost thats not really necessary
