no crank

i cant seem to find this with the search, so i guess i'll ask. i have the wiring nearly complete, and i tried to crank it over to see if the starter was gonna crank ok, but i got nothing when i turn the key. interior lights are all on and stuff. unfortunately, i haven't got a good multimeter yet, so i'm a little limited in my abilty to trouble shoot. i left all the original thirdgen stuff alons inside, using the original key. was there any wiring to the old ecm that controls the starter? the new ecm shouldn't have anything on it at all to the starter, should it? it was a 91 tpi t5 car, now with lq4 and t56. i did press in the clutch switch, but that didn't seem to help either. is there anything obvious i can look at before i go off and buy a multimeter, since i will have to drive probably an hour to get a decent one. thanks

Re: no crank

You need to do something with the cars vats, either ground the yellow/black wire going from the starter enable relay or take the big yellow wire and the tan/white wire and connect them together. You probably aren't getting any voltage to your clutch switch and thats because the starter enable relay comes before tht clutch switch in the circuit. Hope this helps

Re: no crank

well, i got a little more done last night. it cranks now, and i have power to the tb because i heard it cycling with the key turned on. i just have no fuel pressure. should the grey wire on the bulkhead connector be the power supply to the pump? if i have my relay 12v wired to that, that should go right back to the pump according to the diagrams i have. i'm going to look at the relay i guess and see if theres actually power coming out of there next, i guess.

https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/ltx-...formation.html

Both questions are gone over in there

GRY is the relay output to the pump, Red or ORN is the fused 12v battery input. Dk GRN/WHT is the 12v call wire from the PCM

Shouldnt be long till she fires
