Caprice Wagon vs. Corvette LT1 Questions
Caprice Wagon vs. Corvette LT1 Questions
Could someone please clarify for me the differences in the engines between what would be in a 1994 Caprice Wagon LT1 and the Corvettes that were used at the time?
My wagon was just involved in a crash, and I'm trying to make sure I have the proper information to represent the vehicle/engine for sale.
Thanks!

Re: Caprice Wagon vs. Corvette LT1 Questions
Some minor externals changed like EGR accessories and wiring. Major changes are head material (cast iron B-body, alum F-body, Y-body) and cam specs
They will physically interchange. Swap the external components and it should drop right in

What Pocket said above, and the waterpumps are also different. I think the vettes also got 4 bolt mains, everything else is 2 bolt mains.
The B-Body iron heads can run on 87 octane with the B-Body program.
Accessories are mounted totally differently.

also the cam specs are slightly different. Won't matter with the Mass Air Flow sensor and the 02 sensors.
