How to delete AC in an LT1 Swap
Im hoping to drop an Lt1 into my 91 rs this summer and ive read that some guys have problems when it comes to the AC. I dont ever use my current AC so I dont care to elimanate it of the Lt1 when i put it in . Only Problem is I dont know all that goes into elimanating it of the Lt1. If anyone has done this please let me know how you did it and what parts ill need and where I can find them. Thanks for your help

Re: How to delete AC in an LT1 Swap
At the least, you can bolt up the AC pump and not use it, OR.. don't bolt it up and buy the AC delete pulley (small cast triangle which bolts to the bracket where the pump would go and there is an idler pulley on it so that you maintain the correct Serpentine belt routing.. Not a big deal to do (least of your worries) .. Likely have to edit the PCM to remove the AC stuff so it won't throw a code but car will still work fine with the light on. (I'd go the extra step and get rid of all the AC stuff and run a cleaner engine bay though) ... Myself I want the AC and I'm struggling on how to get the lines routed so I can avoid burning them on the headers. It's a tight fit!

Use the delete pulley for a non-AC swap. Youd need to clearance the K-member to mount the compressor, even if its just used as and idler
AC doesnt need to be turned off in the PCM, just dont connect the AC request wire from the HVAC head unit

This is the best LT1 f-body a/c delete bracket you can buy, only because it offers maximum clearance.

For corvette LT1 a/c, I'm having a hard time finding a LT1 a/c delete pulley.
