Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.
Take a look at the LS1 swap sticky in the top section of this forum. You will need 3rd gen LSx stuff for mounts and exhaust, and f-body accessories (everything on the front of the engine) and oil pan stuff (pan, tray, and oil pump pickup). The LQ4 intake manifold won't fit under a stock hood, most guys go with an LS6 intake or FAST.

To be clear, you need 3rd gen LS1 swap stuff for mounts & exhaust. And 4th gen f-body LS1 stuff for accessories & oil pan. The intake can be either f-body or Vette. {Edited my original response}

"New stuff"? The last of these cars was made 18 years ago! The LS engine is in it's 14th model year.
But, hey, sounds like you're willing to give it a try. I say, "Go for it!". I've had the '57 for almost 39 years, and it's next engine will be LQ4 based.

yeah i guess im sayin im not a fan of fuel injection a bunch of wires etc. but im thinkin lq9 with ls6 intake headers/exhaust work a good tune maybe a cam/springs eventually nothing to crazy my budget is low thinkin of goin with a 4l60 tranny lookin for around 450hp all motor with a 150 shot of spray on top motor should hold up from what i have read

If your budget is low I do not suggest an LSx swap.

Would need to hear a definition of "low".
$5k? Can probably be done. But, won't be easy.
$2k? Probably not going to happen.
