List for the swap

Ok guys I need help I'm wanting to do an engine swap and am thinking about an LT1. LS1 looks too exspensive. How much does it run you usually to do the LS1 swap and is there a list of parts I need.
thanks tim

Re: List for the swap

Read the sticky. Costs can range quite a bit depending on what your goals are and if you get a donor car

Mine set me back just under $2,000 but I had to DIY nearly every aspect of it and settle for stock parts. $6-8k is a general number thrown on LSx swaps with common mods and finishing touches although some guys have shown a profit from buying a donor car and selling more parts off it than the conversion cost them

Mounts and specific conversion headers aside, the LT1 swap will be similar in cost to the LSx. The same subsystems must be addressed to pull it off
